I'm having a problem with my audio after upgrading to Windows Unlike some of the others on here, mine only occurs with Netflix streaming. There's a 'crackling' sound when there's music or dialog, like there's a wire loose and it's making an intermittent connection.
I've run the diagnostics program didn't find anything , and I've tried updating and reinstalling the audio drivers, using different browsers, MS Edge, Firefox, Chrome, and the Netflix App but none of these have corrected the problem.
I think it may have been one of the recent updates, since this only started a couple of weeks ago, but which one? This thread is locked.

Cancel Submit. After the most recent Windows 10 update, I had video but no sound in Netflix and had sound for everything else such as YouTube etc. Called Microsoft support and after a lengthy amount of time, they could not help. Finally found a solution : Go to the Control Panel, then Sound. My default format was set to DVD quality.
